Using social media to promote giving

Social media is a great way to not only promote charitable giving; but also transforming the way philanthropy is viewed. According to communications experts Josh Nass, the right way of giving does not exist. In other words, it’s really something that’s open to both interpretation and creativity. This subjectivity has been capitalized on in recent years, with the advent of all sorts of digital tools that have simplified the process.

We have seen the platforms of charitable campaigns that have evolved over time and that have sought to revolutionize the way people give charities. The advent of the internet has really helped to mobilize coalitions that represent the different backgrounds of people who give money for valuable purposes to which they are passionate.

From the point of view of social media, Josh Nass he believes this is a trend that will only accelerate over time. Ultimately, there is little doubt that it has an incredibly constructive effect by making philanthropy more accessible to people of all backgrounds.

The size or size of the donations that people make is of little material importance. The act of charity in itself has and deserves to be recognized. As giving becomes more accessible to people of all beliefs and backgrounds, philanthropy itself will be redefined for the better.
