Police Call Coordinator of Pancasila Youth Ormas Demo Action That Ended in Chaos All

JAKARTA, COMPASS.com – Polda Metro Jaya will convene the coordinator or in charge of the demonstration of the community organization Pemuda Pancasila (Ormas) in front of the DPR/MPR building, which ended in chaos on Thursday 25/11/2021.

The subpoena related to the beating of the police by mass organizations during a demonstration in front of the DPR/MPR.

“We will also call the person in charge of the demonstration,” the head of public relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Endra Zulpan told reporters, Thursday 25/11/2021.

Zulpan has not been able to explain in detail when the agents will ask the coordinator of the mass demonstration for information.

He only explained that the subpoena was made to hold the coordinator responsible for the anarchist actions and attacks on officers that took place during the demonstration.

“We ask for responsibility for the demonstration activities of that day that resulted in riots and also anarchist actions,” Zulpan said.

Earlier, Polda Metro Jaya arrested several members of the Pancasila Youth Organization involved in anarchist actions during a demonstration outside the DPR/MPR RI Building, Jakarta, Thursday (25/11/2021).

Zulpan explained that as many as 20 PP members were detained at the demonstration. A total of 15 of them have been named as suspects.

“During the demonstration, we detained as many as 15 people who are currently staying behind. They have been named as suspects,” Zulpan told reporters on Thursday.

According to Zulpan, the determination of the suspect took place after investigators conducted an initial investigation of the 15 people.

During the demonstration it turned out that the suspects had sharp weapons with them.

In addition, Zulpan said, investigators will continue to investigate and detain the suspects.

“A preliminary investigation has been conducted. That they all carry weapons. Of course we will take legal action against them,” said Zulpan.

“The legal process for these 15 suspects has begun with further investigation and, of course, is being held,” he continued.

During the demonstration, a police officer with the rank of AKBP was seriously injured and attacked by a crowd of protesters.

The victim was hit with a blunt object until he was injured in the back of the head, and was rushed to Kramat Jati Police Hospital in East Jakarta for treatment.

Meanwhile, Dirreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya Tubagus Ade Hidayat said five other people who were also detained in the demonstration were still witnesses and were being questioned by officers.

“The 15 people have been identified as suspects, with at least two pieces of evidence already proven,” Tubgus said.

Tubgus added that as many as 15 suspects who had been detained were charged with Section 2 of Emergency Law No. 12 of 1951 on Edged Weapons.

“Yes, this one is a suspect in Article 2 of the Emergency Act, because he is carrying a sharp weapon,” he concluded.
