Prince George is preparing to turn eight.
The young royal is celebrating the milestone on Thursday, and his parents, Kate Middleton and Prince William, marked the occasion in their traditional way: By sharing a whole new picture of their son.
In the photo, George is beaming while wearing a blue and orange striped collar with collar and blue shorts. He appeared to be sitting on the bonnet for the shot.
“Will be eight (!) Tomorrow,” read the image caption along with a few festive emojis.

The caption also revealed that like many of the photos of the royal children that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have shared recently, the photo was taken by none other than Middleton himself.
Many fans of the royal family took the comments to wish the young prince good luck, as well as to remember when he came into the world.
“I remember when he was born !!! My sister and I were so excited !!!” wrote a supporter. “I can not believe he is already so old ?! Maybe he will get another sister? We can only hope !!!”

“Man! How time flies,” said another. “Happy birthday in advance, Prince George Have fun!”
“Aw he’s so big and I love his huge smile for his mother,” wrote a third. “Happy birthday sweet Prince George! I wish you all the best, a fun day surrounded by your loved ones and a wonderful year !! We love you all.”
Added a third: “Happy birthday Prince George! I still remember the day you were born, can not believe how big you are now.”

It was reportedly not long ago that George was told that one day he would occupy the post.
According to Royal Cinema Robert Lacey, George was told “around” his seventh birthday that one day he would wear the crown.
