Dubai Culture and Arts Authority “Dubai Culture” announced the launch of its museum summer camp 2021 for school students from July 4 to August 12, 2021, promising the youth a summer full of culture and skills improvement with a package full of interesting and innovative activities, within the “Certified Cultural Guide” program.
Hana Mohamed Ayoub, Director of the Cultural Guidance and Programs Department of the Etihad Museum, said: “This initiative is part of Dubai Culture’s commitment to foster creativity and innovation among young people, discover and develop and develop national talents, and an opportunity for children to make the most of their time during their summer vacation.With the initiative, we also want to strengthen the presence of museums among new generations, as an important destination that contributes to the formation of a rich social culture, from which they moving into the industry of the future, and to develop the relationship of young people with the history and heritage of the UAE, and to keep the cultural heritage of the Emirates present in the minds and hearts of the younger generations and motivate them to draw inspiration from the story of the creation of the state and its impressive achievements in continuing the path of development and w prosperity in it, and building a better future.”
Dubai Culture has prepared a unique journey for young people with the “Accredited Cultural Guide” program, which this year will be a hybrid, as it gives students the opportunity to choose between the virtual program or the virtual program, and allows them to guide tours of the museums affiliated with Dubai Culture, namely: the Etihad Museum, Al Shindagha Museum, Naif Museum, Coins Museum, Dubai Museum and Museum of the Poet Al-Aqili. In the reality program at the Etihad Museum, students are trained to lead cultural tours of the different parts of the museum, and they have the opportunity to share their knowledge about the history of the United Arab Emirates and the assets of its founders and its history, and to take special tours of historic buildings in the museum garden, such as the Union House The guesthouse. As for the “Certified Cultural Guide” virtual program, it allows participants to learn the methods and methods of conducting virtual tours of all Dubai Culture Museums, and provides the student with the opportunity to acquire cultural guiding skills that contribute developing his communication skills through his cultural information related to the heritage and history of the UAE.
