Join the host Ben and chat with Marcus Tober, the founder and lead evangelist of Searchmetrics. Together they deepened Core Web Vitals and discussed Marcus’ findings.
Marcus begins to discuss how much information Google has released before the new version is released Page experience ranking signal. As Google becomes more transparent in terms of updates and distribution, the SEO community has planned a one-year plan to launch in May.
Each Core Web Vital will measure website speed, load images and other content. The three different metrics are “maximum content of painting”, “first input delay” and “cumulative layout offset”. These signals can measure your website’s performance and ranking health. All these indicators can benefit the user experience.
Marcus shared some of his findings from a study. His reason for conducting this research is to have a benchmark of website performance before the release of Core Web Vitals. Some of the insights he gathered are that nearly 97% of crawled websites do not score high. Webmasters and SEO need to do some work before.
